Today is the birthday of Frits Damrow. Fritz was Principal Trumpet of the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam for the best part of twenty years. He is now embarking on a new career teaching and solo playing. Since 2009 Frits Damrow has been Professor of trumpet at the University of the Arts in Zürich, Switzerland.
